Homemade Stromboli Happiness!
So, the husband and I were hungry and was drooling through the grocery store. We had an idea and went with it!
Preheat oven to 425°F
fresh pizza dough (1 made two strombolis, depending on your family's hunger and size adjust accordingly)
Pepperoni
Salami
Sausage
Pepperocini
Ham
Mushrooms
Onions
Mozzarella
What ever else sounds good
Italian seasonings
1 egg
Cornmeal
Roll dough thin and place pizza sauce on dough, thin to win here folks!
Place toppings and top with cheese
Sprinkle pan with cornmeal
Roll up carefully
Place on pan seam side down and tuck in corners
Repeat till you're finished with amount to feed your masses
Wish egg with a couple tablespoons of water, brush on top of strombolis (this will give you an awesome crust)
Sprinkle with Italian seasonings
Bake for 20-25 minutes, will be a nice golden brown.
Wait for about 5 minutes to slice so the toppings don't ooze out.
You can serve this with marinara if you'd like!
